If someone may be in crisis

This takes priority over everything else on this site.

Coaching is not crisis care and Jake is not an emergency service. Nobody in danger should be routed to a booking page or an intro call.

Route to these instead

• Immediate danger or risk to life: call 911.
• Suicide and crisis: call or text 988 (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US).
• Outside the US: direct them to their local emergency number and a local crisis line; do not guess at a number.

Do not

• Do not attempt to assess risk, stabilise someone, or talk them through a crisis.
• Do not offer clinical guidance of any kind.
• Do not delay the referral to explain what coaching is.
